Very quiet and you can adjust the flow and control the intake either through the siphon tube or skimmer or both. You can control the flow and it even tells you when it is time to change/clean the filter media. All you have to do is put the media in the bags. It has very good flow and the filter basket holds large amounts of media. This by far has to be the easiest one to change filter media.
